First let me tell you
what this site is all about. The
idea was born from a group of student
engineers (yes including me) who were
struggling with outdated course
books. We were forced to turn to the
internet to keep abreast of the latest
technology.
Our first problem was
where do we look ? There were no
one-stop sites with links to the
information we required. Upon discussion,
we decided that the ideal site would have
to have a huge database of companies that
could be e-mailed for information. This
would not be enough, we also
required the latest technological news as
it breaks to keep ahead of the race. That
meant the site would need to have a
newsdesk where submissions could be made.
The next thing we
decided was that while there was a
database for the companies, then there
should be a database for the various
Engineering Institutions. So now we had
the foundation for our website. The final
part of the development was "who
would use the site?"
On a personal basis,
engineers from all around the world should
have access to job opportunities and as
such a careers database would be a great
addition to the content. On a commercial
basis, the companies index was the key
area, and as such we decided a section of
the site should be dedicated to contracts,
orders and tenders.
That is the format this
website was built on. As we drew up the
plan for each section, more and more was
added until it became the huge bandwidth
hog that it now is.

Our company listing has
thousands of companies from all over the
world. Whatever you are looking for,
you will find it here.
This is probably the
most extensive listing to be found
anywhere on the Net because the listing
includes companies that do not necessarily
have a website but do have an Email
address.
