Introduction

First let me tell you what this site is all about.  The idea was born from a group of student engineers (yes including me) who were struggling with  outdated course books. We were forced to turn to the internet to keep abreast of the latest technology.

Our first problem was where do we look ?  There were no one-stop sites with links to the information we required. Upon discussion, we decided that the ideal site would have to have a huge database of companies that could be e-mailed for information. This would not be enough,  we also required the latest technological news as it breaks to keep ahead of the race. That meant the site would need to have a newsdesk where submissions could be made.

The next thing we decided was that while there was a database for the companies, then there should be a database for the various Engineering Institutions. So now we had the foundation for our website. The final part of the development was "who would use the site?"

On a personal basis, engineers from all around the world should have access to job opportunities and as such a careers database would be a great addition to the content. On a commercial basis, the companies index was the key area, and as such we decided a section of the site should be dedicated to contracts, orders and tenders.

That is the format this website was built on. As we drew up the plan for each section, more and more was added until it became the huge bandwidth hog that it now is.

This section has been designed to provide you assistance and guidance in all areas of career advancement.  The site includes a job searching tutorial, "How to" guides to preparing a CV, handling the job interview, writing application letters, looking for work and further education.

We have also included a comprehensive Academic Institution listing to assist you in expanding your education.

Latest addition " Job Database".  We finalised our job vacancy database.  Browse the vacancies in your engineering field and in your region. There are no dull forms to fill in or hidden charges anywhere, just select your requirements and view the page.

Contracts, orders and tenders

This section is devoted to the most current engineering contracts, orders and tenders.

The section is a searchable database by country/region and the particular industry. At the foot of each page there is an invitation to post contracts, orders and tenders on these pages free of charge.

If you have a contract or tender to submit, post it here. we can verify the posting and send a reply Email for reasons of legality within your country. Remember, you can click the happy guy below to chat direct to us anytime (the staff love chatting to visitors because, "it's better than working").
