Introduction
Omesys adserver is the Engineers International Advertising Campaign Management engine. The engine was created to enable our customers to create and manage their advertising campaigns with ease. At Engineers International we understand that the majority of our customers just want to promote their business and they want to do it easily and effectively. We have gone back to advertising basics, making it easy for you to create a campaign that fits your budget and is easy to manage.
Our advertising campaigns run on a monthly basis. You book the type of advertisement you want, place it where you want it and it will appear in your selected locations for the duration of that month. No rotations, no competing for impressions. We even help you to design a button or banner if you need help. It can't get any easier than that. Omesys adserver provides you with statistics for impressions and clicks so that you can keep track of the success of your campaign.
What type of ads can I run?
There are several types of ads available.
Badge:
The Badge consists of a single image in GIF, JPG or PNG format hyperlinked to a destination of your choice.
Adbox:
The Adbox contains 3 elements- A title, in bold navy text at the top of the advert with a maximum of 25 Characters.
- An image, with the same dimensions as the "Badge" advert above.
- A description, containing up to 135 characters.
Logo:
The Logo consists of a single image in GIF, JPG or PNG format hyperlinked to a destination of your choice.
Banner:
The Banner consists of a single image in GIF, JPG or PNG format hyperlinked to a destination of your choice.- Text Ads:
Text ads for engineering jobs in the job centre, and entries to the directories are free. Jobs on the homepage and accompanied by a logo are charged as per the current rate card
How do I book my campaign?
You can contact us directly via our contact form or you can use the self service Omesys campaign manager. It only takes 3 steps to create your campaign. In a few minutes you can have your advertisement on Engineers International and bring new customers to your site. Best of all, they are a targetted audience.
Create an account, if you already have an account, log in to the Omesys adserver. A confirmation email will be sent to your nominated email address. Once the email has arrived, click on the link to activate your account. Then log in to Adserver.
- Step 1: The Campaign Manager will open, this is the first step to creating your campaign. The Calendar View will allow you to select the type of advertisements you want to use, the pages you want them to appear in and the months you wish to run your campaign. Engineers International advertising runs in monthly blocks. When a month is booked, it runs for that calendar month, commencing on the 1st of the month and finishing on the last day of the month. No discounts are given for part months.
- Step 2: This is the section where you get to create or upload your ads. We provide you with a preview so that you can confirm how the advertisement looks. It is best to have images of the right size, however Omesys is able to resize them if required. You can also add headings or text . If you need assistance with creating an ad, please let us know, we are more than happy to assist. For simple ads we can do them free of charge. Complex ads attract a small fee to cover our costs. We are here to help you make the most of your campaign.
- Step 3: Check your ads and campaign in this section and confirm all details. Once you are ready, process your payment. Engineers International uses Paypal to process payments via credircard and Paypal account. Your bank and card details are not passed on to Engineers International and are not shared with anyone. To book an ad block, click on the cell corresponding to the ad type and month you wish to run your campaign. Omesys will not allow you to book on a previous month. Unselect a block by clicking on it again. Campaigns that have been selected will show in blue, campaigns that have been paid are locked in and will show in yellow.
Omesys automatically calculates your campaign costs and applies any discounts. These can be seen below the ad selector under "Campaign Summary", thus allowing you to adjust your campaign to suit your needs and your budget. Remember Engineers International campaigns are a fixed cost, what you book is what you pay, no hidden costs. You have full control.
You may build as many campaigns as you wish, remember that there are advantages in booking one campaign as opposed to various campaigns as a larger campaign will attract higher discount levels. It is your choice, you have the control of your campaigns. When you have finished, click the "Save" button and go to Step 2
You do not have to finalise your campaign immediately.

Once your payment has been processed, we will check your campaign details and ensure that it is legitimate. Engineers International does not allow illegal, gambling or inapropriate material to be advertised on our site. We value our customers and members and want to ensure that material advertised on our website is suitable and does not offend anyone.
Once approved, the campaign will commence on the first day of the month booked. The campaign will be locked down and no changes will be allowed. Once a campaign has commenced we will not allow cancellations and no refunds can be processed.
You may book new campaigns and can have as many consecutive campaigns as you like. Each one will be treated separately. You may log in at anytime and check the progress and statistics for your campaign.
How can I check the status of my campaign?
You may view the statistics and status of a campaign by logging in to the Campaign Manager and selecting a campaign from the dropdown menu at the top right hand corner of the screen. On the Calendar view you will find an icon for each month that the campaign has run. Statistics can be viewed by clicking on this icon. You may also download the statistics to your computer by clicking on the button on the right hand side of the screen. Save it to your hard drive and open it with any text or spreadsheet application.
What happens if my campaign is rejected?
Campaigns are rarely rejected, however ocassionally we come across a campaign that we deem as inappropriate, illegal or offensive. In such cases, we will contact you to discuss the matter, if the campaign is still rejected, we will arrange to refund your money via Paypal, a fee of AU$20.00 will be charged for processing the refund.
Engineers International does not allow illegal, gambling or inappropriate material to be advertised on the site. We value our customers and want to ensure that material advertised on our website is suitable and does not offend anyone.
What type of campaign would suit me best?
This depends entirely on what you are advertising. If your aim is to increase brand recognition, then you would want to have your logo or product brand prominent on the website, with brand recognition advertising it is important to have the same message delivered often, so try the same looking banner or button on various pages. Unless you are a well established brand like Coca Cola, you need to send a strong message, so viewers will start to see your logo and associate it with your product as soon as they see it.
If you are selling a product or a service, you will want to have a strong message and an eye-catching image, remember you only have a few seconds to get the viewer's attention. Your message needs to be sharp and to the point, more information can be given at your website once they click on the advertisement. Targetted advertising would work best for these ads. Placing them in a page that is relevant or more likely to be seen by an audience on a relevant subject. For example a Recruiter would do well advertising in the career pages.
What are the advertising rates?
The current advertising rates are detailed here and are also in the campaign manager as you build your campaign. All prices are in Australian dollars, however Paypal accepts virtually any currency.
